In 2009, the Group’s senior executives made several
market research tours in order to overcome the
negative impact of global financial crisis.
Meanwhile, its chemical sales subsidiaries carried
out the “Year of Service” campaign to improve their
services; accelerated their IT application level;
pushed forward their network pattern adjustment;
intensified their internal management and managed to
complete all objectives concerning operation, reform
and developments. The total sales of the year
reached 29.87 million tons, up 41% year on year.
The Group’s senior executives visited 16 provinces or
municipalities and made communications with about 100
customers, through which strategic cooperative relations
were established with part of the visited customers.
Striving to improve the service. In 2009, chemical
sales subsidiaries launched technical exchanges with and
trainings for their customers and upgraded their
customer relation management system, so as to optimize
and integrate the customer services resources of all the
regional branches. The total sales of chemical products
of the year were up by 41% year on year.
Massively increasing the IT application in its
logistic system. The Group’s chemical sales subsidiaries
have set up a comprehensive logistic information
management platform with logistic information system as
its basis, railway transportation management information
system and GPS as its supplement and mobile commerce
technology as its interactive channel, which is able to
conduct dynamic supervision and systematic optimization.
Distribution rate of the year increased by 3.5
percentage points and railway transportation volume was
up 142% year on year.
Sales branches were distributed in a more optimized
way. The names of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Wuhan
branches were changed into North China, East China,
South China and Central China branches respectively, and
the number of distribution centers reached 24; storage
resources optimization started in a compressive way.
Comprehensively integrating the foreign trade
business of chemical products. In 2009, Sinopec Chemical
Products Sales Company was registered which integrates
both domestic trade and foreign trade. The foreign trade
volume experienced rapid growth with import up by 65%
and export up by 9.5 % for the year.
