The Group established the hydrocarbon reservoir formation in the Tahe oilfield's clastic rock layer featuring "reticular transmission, reservoir and fault control, secondary adjustment and reservoir formation in late stage." The Group also formed a series of technologies in identifying and appraising the deep hidden traps in the Tahe's clastic rock layer. Several technologies have taken shape, including "enhanced oil recovery technology via polymer flooding for high-temperature and high-salt reservoir with Henan oilfield," "supportive technology for development of Puguang sour gasfield," "oil extraction process and supportive surface engineering technology for carbonate reservoir," and "comprehensive earth geophysics and modeling technology series for reservoir." The technology research also made remarkable progress,including "technologies of water flooding development for major oilfields of Shengli oilfield area," "key technology of production capacity with Puguang gasfield," "key drilling technology on complex deep-well of South China and automatic vertical drilling technology." These technologies have given technological support to the Group's production, cost cut and efficiency increase.
